Collaborated with pianist Tim Zhang and Art Director Dongsheng Ren, DaDa presented a unique digital interpretation of "Petrushka" along with Tim’s playing at The 25th/26th Beijing Music Festival. This concert, a first at the Beijing Music Festival, not only fused classical music with contemporary art but also blended virtual and real elements, incorporating blockchain and digital collectible technologies to provide an unprecedented audio-visual experience for the audience.

Drawing elements from the classic ballet "Petrushka," three dancers were invited to record their movements using motion capture technology, which were then converted into point cloud data. By integrating data extracted from the music's accents, rhythm, and changes, a particle effect that matched the music's emotional tone was created. These particle effects were displayed across five separate LED screens, forming virtual dancers that transcended time and space, occasionally coalescing and dispersing to perfectly embody the entire musical piece.

The performance of "Petrushka" not only demonstrated the artists' innovative response to the digital age but also showed their ability to push the boundaries of artistic expression while engaging in a trans-temporal dialogue with a classic work. The three puppet figures on stage were rejuvenated through a joint performance of music and dance, undergoing a magnificent transformation through digital art re-creation. The transition from stage to virtual space, along with the characters' postures and emotional fluctuations driven by the music, further achieved a perfect integration of auditory and visual imagery.

Typically, concerts are remembered through audio or video recordings, limiting the possibilities for preserving and extending the experience. However, the "Petrushka" concert represents a significant visual breakthrough and, with the help of new technologies, expands the potential for documenting and distributing the performance. In response, the Beijing International Music Festival has released a special series of NFTs featuring the three main characters from the piece, each limited to 100 editions globally. These NFTs contain QR codes embedded within the artwork, linking to representative musical segments of each character, making the digital art tangible and collectible. This innovation allows enthusiasts of classical music and digital art to easily collect or gift these unique pieces.
